Nothing has happened in this page for a long time so you kind people must be gagging to show me how clever you are.

I am desperate to find the parents of Alice Frankland, born December 1st, 1883, at Wheeton, Chorley, Lancashire, England. Your kindness is appreciated

I believe I may have tracked Alice and her parents. It didn't help when the name was spelled sometimes FRANKLAND and others FRANKLIN.

Samuel Franklin married Elizabeth Warburton 1879; Samuel died 1886.

Elizabeth and Alice are on the 1891 census living with a Warburton family which I believe could be Elizabeth's widowed mother.

Thank you, Pauline. I appreciate your assistance.

I confess to not having considered the change in spelling.

I should have done so because it happened at my father's birth. I will blame my antiquity.

Thank you, Eileen. It is sweet of you to have persevered with this problem for me. I apologise for getting your name wrong previously

No problem - I enjoy a bit of sleuthing.
